Sheep and Mountain Goats
There are six species and many subspecies of wild sheep worldwide. They are usually found in hilly or mountainous habitats. They eat mainly grasses, as well as lichens and plants. Their bodies are covered in thick hair and in the winter they grow a wool undercoat. Both rams and ewes have horns. The horns of the ram are usually bigger. They have a keen sense of sight and hearing.
Mountain Goats are found in semi alpine to alpine areas. They are excellent climbers often seen on cliffs and ice. The Mountain Goats of North America are more closely related to antelopes, gazelles, and cattle than to other wild goats. They have beards, short tails and dark horns along with a double coat of white wooly fur.
